Baboons are a big problem on farms in Namibia - They raid farms, steal food, break windows etc. That's why the farmers ( / their children ) hunt baboons, especially the youngsters, down, with sticks, clubs and stones. Afterwards they are collected in landfills and burned later. This is what you see here... you may also see some carcasses of Eland and a Kudu.
Ha that's kinda scary.. I never knew they were like that as I live in Australia. Weird. Great picture by the way! Sorry haha. I love how the blue and orange are both such vibrant colours
Wow... I knew baboons were disruptive but not to the extent that Namibians send their children out to hunt them...
great shot btw...

Aww even though I think baboons are ugly, I still hate to see them killed. Sadly, this is what often happens when we humans move into animals' space. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
